Marcia Funke - Washington County
Marcia, who was elected to the Washington County Board of Commissioners in 2000, has served on the NCRPC Board since 2001. Raised in Washington County, Funke continues to live in the county with her husband, Ron, in the City of Washington. Funke holds an associate’s degree from Cloud County Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and in 1999 obtained a paralegal associate’s degree. Marcia worked as a legal secretary and a paralegal for three different law firms in North Central Kansas before becoming Development Coordinator for KSDS, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the training and placement of assistance dogs to individuals with disabilities. A member of the Modern Pioneers Study Club in Washington, Kansas, she is particularly interested in economic development in the county. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. |
