Bill Garrison - Cloud County
Bill serves on the Cloud County Board of Commissioners and joined the NCRPC Board in 2005. Born and raised in rural Cloud County, he still lives near Miltonvale and has farmed for 45 years raising wheat, milo, and soybeans. Bill also raises registered and certified seed wheat. He enjoys having access to new seed varieties and the value-added aspect of enhancing farmers’ productivity and potential profitability. He currently leases his 65-head cow herd that is primarily Angus/Simmental cross to a young farmer in the area who is getting started in the business. Bill has been involved with many community activities including the Cloud County Extension Board, 4-H and was a 17-year member of the USD 334 School Board. He received an accounting degree from Brown Mackie College. Bill and his wife, Fran, have two grown sons, James and wife, Lisa, and Greg and wife, Eve, and have five grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys time with grandchildren, deer hunting and exhibiting wheat at fairs. |
