Kermit Rush - Ellsworth County
Kermit was elected to the Ellsworth County Board of Commissioners in 2000 and began serving on the NCRPC board shortly after being elected. He currently serves as Chair of Ellsworth County Board of Commissioners. Born and raised in Ellsworth County, Kermit has served for many years on various local boards including his township board, Ellsworth County Extension Board, Ellsworth Co-op Board, and the Farm Service Agency (FSA) Board. Kermit attended a one-room country school for eight years before graduating from Geneseo High School. He has farmed and ranched since 1954 in southern Ellsworth County and northern Rice County. Kermit and his wife, Darlene, moved to Ellsworth in 1999 but still remain involved with the farm. Their son, Jerry, now manages the daily farm activities. They also have three daughters, Dana, Beth and Tracey. Kermit stays active helping his son with the farm and also enjoys golf and traveling. |
