Long–term planning and visioning are critical for government entities and non-profits. A well thought out plan that has buy-in from key constituencies should guide and direct the future activities and spending of the entity. The NCRPC staff is qualified to assist member cities, counties and area non-profits with planning initiatives they undertake.
Communities that may be interested in funding a planning activity should consider The Community Capacity Building Grant Program. This program provides a grant of up to $25,000 which is matched by 20% local funds to cover the costs of a planning activity.
Examples of planning activities the NCRPC has assisted with include:
- The City of Clyde – Technology development including personal and business applications
- OCCK, Inc./Independent Connection, Salina – Future planning for space needs and for clients services
- Safe Routes to School projects in the cities of Washington and Lincoln
