SUMMARY:Succession Planning
DESCRIPTION:Update – This class has been cancelled!\nCurrently this workshop is scheduled to be offered one more time on the following date: \n\n\n\nJune 10\, 2022 – Abilene\n\n\n\n\nThis informational session is designed to grow awareness of the importance of succession planning for small business owners in Central Kansas. It is not a ‘how to’ workshop for exiting a business. Our session is particularly well suited for owners in the 30-50 year range\, or at any stage in their business lifecycle. The presentation will include statistics from a recent survey of business owners\, a discussion on business value\, and a discussion on liquidity. Small business succession planning helps ensure that communities retain their core businesses and that owners are prepared for the next chapter in their life. There will be ample time for Questions & Answers following the presentation. \nAbout the Instructor:\nRick Feltenberger is Regional Director of the Kansas Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Fort Hays State University.
