Lifetime Public Service Award

This award was established in 2022 to recognize exceptional contributions by an individual or organization to the well-being of North Central Kansas (12-county NCRPC service area) over an extended period of time. John Cyr was the first recipient of the award.

The presentation of this year’s Lifetime Public Service Award will be made at the NCRPC’s biennial banquet in Fall 2024.

Selection Criteria

The North Central Regional Planning Commission Executive Board of Directors will review nominations and select a recipient. Criteria to be considered in determining the award winner will include the overall impact of the nominee’s accomplishments, the duration of the nominee’s engagement in community/public service activities, and the breadth of involvement in the community/region.*

*Nominees must be from one of the following 12 counties: Clay, Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Jewell, Lincoln, Marshall, Mitchell, Ottawa, Republic, Saline, and Washington.
