NCRPC Business Finance Program Assists in Business Purchase Project

A long-time employee has purchased a long-standing glass business in Concordia, completing a transition that keeps commercial glass services available to customers throughout the community and surrounding area.

Effective December 31, 2025, Travis Chartier, a 25-year employee of Jackson’s Glass Shop, purchased the Concordia business from longtime owner Larry Jackson. The business is located at 101 West 5th Street in Concordia, Kansas.

Jackson started the auto, residential, and commercial glass shop business in the 1980s. Today, it continues to specialize in the sales and installation of commercial glass and entry doors. The business also sells, installs, and repairs commercial locks, door closers, and electronic handicap-accessibility door systems.

Jackson continues to assist with the business as part of the ownership transition, but plans to retire and focus on operating other businesses he owns in Concordia.

The purchase was made possible through Chartier’s investment, financing assistance from Central National Bank, and the North Central Kansas Business Down Payment Assistance Loan Program.

The NCRPC Business Finance program assists businesses and entrepreneurs in obtaining funding to start, improve, expand, or purchase a business.
