Community Development Advisor
Laura Leite joined the organization in 2026 as a Community Development Advisor. In this role, she supports cities, counties, and nonprofit organizations in North Central Kansas through community planning, grant writing, and project management. She brings more than 25 years of experience in state and local government grant management and writing, along with policy and public relations work in both nonprofit and private-sector business and workforce development. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications from Kansas State University and a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Fort Hays State University. She has also completed HR certification through Cornell University, a grant writing certification from FHSU, and earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Washburn University.
