The North Central Regional Planning Commission (NCRPC) is launching the Demo to Dirt program to help remove unsafe or blighted residential structures in North Central Kansas. Eligible property owners in incorporated cities within 11 counties may qualify for reimbursement grants of up to $4,000 toward demolition costs for residential structures including homes, garages, or sheds. Applicants must contribute a 25% match.

Program Overview
Demo to Dirt is a regional initiative that provides financial assistance to help remove dilapidated residential structures (e.g., houses, garages, etc.) in North Central Kansas. The program offers reimbursement grants of up to $4,000 per property for demolition costs. A 25% applicant match is required.
Who is Eligible
Eligible service locations include incorporated cities within the following Kansas counties:
Clay, Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Jewell, Lincoln, Marshall, Mitchell, Ottawa, Republic, and Washington
Assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Funding is limited on a per county basis. Projects are subject to NCRPC approval of the demolition scope of work.
This is not an income-based program; anyone may qualify. However, if the adjusted gross income for the household is greater than the maximums listed in the table below, a IRS 1099 Miscellaneous Income Form will be issued. If there is not enough income to file taxes, a signed and notarized statement of such will be required.
