USDA Rural Development – Rural Energy for America Program
Program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase or install renewable energy systems or make energy efficiency improvements. Agricultural producers with at least 50% of gross income coming from agricultural operations, and small businesses in eligible rural areas may apply.

Waste Tire Grants
Grants to Kansas local units of government and public & private schools to support the purchase of products made from recycled tires including playground cover. If awarded, the grant will pay up to 50% of the eligible cost in the awarded project; the match requirement is a minimum of 50%. Tire derived products eligible for the program include the following: pour-in-place rubber surface, loose fill rubber mulch, rubber tiles for unitary mat, molded or extruded rubber edging, or tables/benches.

EPA’s Brownfields Program
The program provides grants and technical assistance to communities, states, tribes and others to assess, safely clean up and sustainably reuse contaminated properties. Several types of funding are available including Assessment grants, Cleanup grants, etc.
